Alteris Women is proud to support the work of The International Alliance for Women (TIAW), a global charitable foundation dedicated to the economic empowerment and advancement of women all over the globe. Their commitment is to the “inclusive economy” – uniting, supporting and promoting women and their chosen networks across all continents, which in turn supports and strengthens the global economic fabric.
Since 2000, TIAW members have capitalised over 110 ‘Village Banks’ in more than 24 developing countries - providing the seed money for women to start their own micro-businesses. These investments have helped these women lift themselves, their families and their communities out of poverty.
With COVID-19 held mostly at bay in Australia, we were fortunate enough to support TIAW’s first revitalised Global Cities event in Sydney on International Women’s Day 2021. Our partnership made it possible for us to raise more than USD1500.00 which will be distributed by CUFA, TIAW’s Microcredit partner in Asia, and will support financial education for women entrepreneurs in the region.
