Growing our community across generations

Sep 24, 2025

Across four cities, women came together once again at our September Alteris Women Roadshow. From the candid energy of our Melbourne and Sydney events with Jessica Brady, to the heartfelt discussions in Rockhampton and Brisbane around aged care and life planning, each gathering created space for women to reflect, ask courageous questions, and take action. Whether it was unpacking early money memories, navigating family care decisions, or preparing for life’s unexpected turns, these events reminded us that financial wellbeing isn’t just about the numbers.

Unfiltered: Real Money Talks

Our Melbourne and Sydney events created space for intergenerational conversations about money, how our earliest experiences shape our mindset, and how we can take control at every life stage. In Sydney, we were joined by a vibrant and diverse group of more than 60 women, all eager to share, learn, and ask questions.

We were thrilled to welcome Jessica Brady, award-winning financial educator, podcast host, and passionate advocate for women’s financial wellbeing. Jess’s relatable way of talking about money, goals, career, and confidence struck a chord with women seeking clarity and direction. From childhood “hot iron” moments to practical habits for every decade, Jess shared real stories and insights that helped the women in the room feel seen, supported, and inspired to act. The energy in the room was warm and empowering, reminding us that financial freedom starts with self-awareness and grows through community.

Women at the Crossroads – An Aged Care Conversation

Our Rockhampton event, Women at the Crossroads, brought together an engaged audience for a conversation led by Kerri Mendl, whose local ties and professional insight resonated strongly with our guests. Kerri shared practical strategies and emotional truths about navigating aged care, sparking questions and comments from women facing, or anticipating, the challenges of mid-life caregiving. The session was rich with real stories, financial guidance, and empowering takeaways, leaving participants feeling informed, supported, and ready to take the next step with confidence.

When Life Changes are You Prepared?

In Brisbane, we gathered for an eye-opening evening focused on planning for life’s unexpected turns. With heartfelt reflections and expert guidance from Kerri Mendl and Loan Chow, the conversation tackled everything from family tensions and legal pitfalls to the emotional weight of caregiving. The audience leaned in, asking personal questions that highlighted just how relevant and urgent these issues are. More than just information, the event offered clarity, reassurance, and a strong call to action: don’t wait for a crisis.
