Confidence, Clarity, and Connection

Alteris Women June Event Wrap-Up
Our community joined us across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Rockhampton for a series of Alteris Women events focused on building confidence, financial independence, and navigating life’s unexpected moments. Each session brought a unique theme and sparked great conversations in the room, with women connecting over shared experiences. From styling for self-belief to understanding lending and legal blind spots, the discussions were practical and honest and left everyone feeling supported and ready to take action.
Sydney: Wear Your Confidence
A big thank you to Julie Hyne, Director at Style for Life, for joining us at our Sydney event. Julie’s insights gave everyone a fresh perspective on how personal style can support confidence, especially during times of change. She shared her career journey and spoke about how style can influence first impressions and help women feel more prepared for interviews, leadership roles, and financial conversations. Her practical tips helped attendees see style not as something superficial, but as a meaningful tool for self-expression and empowerment.
”Loved the group discussion. Loved the topic. Love the potential for more conversations or sub-topics after this.”
Melbourne and Brisbane: Designing a Life of Financial Independence
In Melbourne, Donna Meredith, Managing Director at Keystone Corporate Positioning, led an engaging session that resonated with attendees. She shared her journey from corporate life to running her own business, opening up about the doubts, risks, and emotional challenges she faced. Donna spoke about aligning financial decisions with the life she truly wanted and how letting go of others’ definitions of success helped her back her own path. Her practical tips, like understanding good vs bad debt and making small, intentional changes, gave women useful tools to start building financial confidence.
In Brisbane, Jen Morton, QLD State Manager at Macquarie Bank, shared her career journey and how her relationship with money has evolved. She spoke about common financial patterns she’s seen among women and offered practical advice on lending, including how debt can be used strategically to build wealth. Her stories of mentorship, confidence, and backing yourself struck a chord with the audience. Jen encouraged women to take small but meaningful steps, like reviewing loan structures or seeking advice, to feel more in control of their financial future.
“Great event, supporting women is always good.”
Rockhampton: Managing the Unexpected
The Rockhampton event struck a deeply personal chord with attendees, who were eager to share their own stories of navigating life’s unexpected turns. Led by Katina Kyreakou, Special Counsel at Life Law, the session created space for honest conversations around caregiving, separation, loss, and the financial ripple effects that often follow. Katina offered practical legal insights, helping women identify blind spots that can catch them off guard and showing where to start, whether preparing ahead or responding in crisis. The discussion reminded everyone that they’re not alone, and that there are steps they can take to protect themselves and their loved ones. For many, hearing real, relatable stories from other women was a powerful reminder of the strength found in shared experience.
”Lovely vibe. Great info and the question time made the night.”
